When in Samplitude:
Press JawsKey plus H in any Window to get specific keystroke help.
Press Control plus F4 to close a window.
and
Press Control plus W to close the current project.

Keystrokes For Obtaining Window Information

When in the VIP/Arranger Window:

When in a VST plug-in or Softsynth:

Note: the above-mentioned JawsKey plus Control plus T keystrokes can be used to check where you are or obtain information in other Windows throughout Samplitude such as the EQ etc. You can also press JawsKey plus 1 to toggle keyboard help on/off within various other windows.

VIP/Arranger Window Keystrokes

The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the VIP/Arranger Window.

Quick Controls:

  • Volume status equals JawsKey plus Home.
  • Track Name equals JawsKey plus Up Arrow.
  • Pan status equals JawsKey plus Page Up.
  • Solo Status equals JawsKey plus Left Arrow.
  • Record Status= jawsKey plus NumPad 5 pressed once.
  • Monitoring Status= JawsKey plus numpad 5 pressed twice.
  • Mute Status equals JawsKey plus Right Arrow.
  • Selected Object equals shift plus enter, JawsKey plus End or JawsKey plus F5.
  • Current range = shift plus enter twice quickly, JawsKey plus end twice quickly or JawsKey plus F7.
  • Say Position equals control plus enter or JawsKey plus Down Arrow.
  • Press twice quickly to open the position edit field. Note: Press enter immediately after pressing one of the above keystrokes to activate the Control.
  • To speak the currently selected objects start, press Control plus jawsKey plus home.
  • To speak the currently selected objects length, press (Control plus jawsKey plus up arrow.
  • To speak the currently selected objects end, press Control plus jawsKey plus page up.
  • Alternatively, for laptop users, press jawsKey plus F6 once for the selected objects start position, twice for the length and 3 times for the end position.
  • To speak the current range start, press Control plus jawsKey plus left arrow.
  • To speak the current range length, press Control plus jawsKey plus numpad 5.
  • To speak the current range end, press Control plus jawsKey plus right arrow.
  • Alternatively, for laptop users, press jawsKey plus F8 once for the current range start position, twice for the length and 3 times for the end position.

    Automation Node Edit Dialog

    an automation curve can be edited by pressing the Samplitude keystroke, Alt plus 2. The Alt plus 2 keystroke is also used to move between automation nodes in the Automation Node edit dialog box.

    Multiband Dynamics

    The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the Multiband Dynamics Window:

    Reading and editing frequency separation In The Multiband Dynamics.

    1. Lock the left mouse button.
    2. Use Left Arrow and Right Arrow, or Shift plus Alt plus Left Arrow and Shift plus Alt plus Right Arrow to reduce/extend the frequency range on the selected band.
    3. Note: Whatever cut off frequency was selected will be spoken as you make changes.
    4. Unlock the left mouse button.

    Stereo Enhancer

    The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the Stereo Enhancer Window:

    Reading and editing frequency separation.

    1. Press F9 to hear split frequency 1.
    2. Press F10 to hear split frequency 2.

    Note: Whenever you press one of the above split frequency keystrokes, you are taken to the frequency graph/view.

    When on the frequency graph/view

    When you're at the approximate frequency:

    1. Lock the left mouse button.
    2. Use Left Arrow and Right Arrow, or Shift plus Alt plus Left Arrow and Shift plus Alt plus Right Arrow to reduce/extend the frequency range on the selected band.
    3. Note: Whatever split frequency was selected will be spoken as you make changes.
    4. Unlock the left mouse button.

    SMax11

    The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the SMax11 Window:

    To get to the Tempo Map Dialog box perform the following steps:

    1. Press the Alt key, followed by the letter M.
    2. This places you on the MIDI menu.
    3. Left Arrow over to the Tempo Map dialog submenu.
    4. Once there, press the Enter key to open the Tempo Map Dialog box.

    The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the Tempo map dialog:

    Audio Quantization Wizard

    To get to the Audio Quantization Wizard Dialog box perform the following steps:

    1. Press the Alt key, followed by the letter M.
    2. This places you on the MIDI menu.
    3. Left Arrow over to the Tempo Map dialog box submenu.
    4. Use the Down Arrow key to navigate to the Audio Quantization Wizard.
    5. Once there, press the Enter key to open the Audio Quantization Wizard dialog box.

    Note: There is an issue in the Audio Quantize window when setting the transient detection sensitivity. Jaws will crash if you tab back to this control, so here's a work-around:
    After Setting Quantize value and transient detection sensitivity To your liking, tab to the one click button and click it. This will perform split at transients, quantize And fill gaps between objects successfully.

    If you would rather do these operations separately, Click the split at transients button Instead, then leave the wizard and perform The quantize and fill gaps operations One by one from the tempo Menu where you will find a button for each of them, Including hard or soft quantize.

    The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the Audio Quantization Wizard:

    Elastic Audio Editor

    The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the Elastic Audio Editor:

    Resampling Time Stretching

    To get to the Resampling Time Stretching Window perform the following steps:

    1. Press the Alt key, followed by the letter L.
    2. This places you on the Tools menu.
    3. Left Arrow over to the Time/Pitch dialog submenu.
    4. Use the Down Arrow key to navigate to the Resampling Time Stretching submenu.
    5. Once there, press the Enter key to open the Resampling Time Stretching dialog box.

    4. Press the Down Arrow key to navigate to the Advanced Dynamics submenu.
    5. Once there, press the Enter key to open the Advanced Dynamics dialog box.

    The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the Advanced Dynamics Window:

    Amp Simulation

    To get to the Amp Simulation Window, perform the following steps:

    1. Open the affects menu by pressing F.
    2. Use the Down Arrow key to navigate to the Guitar/Distortion submenu.
    3. Press Enter to open the Guitar/Distortion submenu.
    4. Press the Down Arrow key to navigate to the Amp Simulation submenu.
    5. Once there, press the Enter key to open the Amp Simulation dialog box.

    The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the Amp Simulation Window:

    Distortion

    To get to the Distortion Window, perform the following steps:

    1. Open the affects menu by pressing F.
    2. Use the Down Arrow key to navigate to the Guitar/Distortion submenu.
    3. Press Enter to open the Guitar/Distortion submenu.
    4. Press the Down Arrow key to navigate to the Distortion submenu.
    5. Once there, press the Enter key to open the Distortion dialog box.

    The following JAWS keystrokes only apply within the Distortion Window:

    Echo Delay Reverb

    To get to the Echo Delay Reverb Window, perform the following steps:

    1. Open the affects menu by pressing F.
    2. Use the Down Arrow key to navigate to the Echo Delay Reverb submenu.
    3. Press Enter to open the Echo Delay Reverb submenu.
    4. Press the Down Arrow key to navigate to the Delay menu.
    5. Once there, press the Enter key to open the Echo Delay Reverb dialog box.
